Privacy Policy

What TurboSell collects, how it is used and stored, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information TurboSell, operated by TurboSell ("TurboSell", "we", "us"), collects, how we collect it, how we use and handle it, where and how we store it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (turbosell.co), web application, the TurboSell browser extension, and related services (together, the "Services").

TurboSell is a business tool for vehicle dealers. It imports vehicle inventory from dealership and marketplace websites you connect, and helps you create and publish vehicle listings to Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Pages.

Information we collect

Account and identity information: your name, email address, dealership or business name, password (stored only as a salted hash), subscription and plan details, and the content of your communications with our support team.

Account connection information: the credentials you use to sign in to TurboSell, and, when you choose to connect a marketplace account to TurboSell, the connection data needed to publish and manage your listings on that marketplace on your behalf. Connection data is encrypted and used only at your direction.

Vehicle and listing content: vehicle data you provide, import, or sync through the Services, including VINs, stock numbers, year/make/model/trim, mileage, prices, descriptions, photos, source page URLs, and listing and posting status.

Website content: when you connect a dealership or marketplace website to TurboSell, the extension or our servers read the publicly visible inventory pages of that website to extract the vehicle data described above. We do not read or collect content from websites you have not connected to TurboSell.

Technical and usage information: IP address, browser type and version, extension version, device and operating system information, server logs, error and diagnostic data, and records of actions performed through the Services (for example refresh and posting activity).

Payment information: payments are handled by our third-party payment processors. We receive limited billing details (such as plan, payment status, and the last digits of a card) but never store full payment card numbers on our servers.

How we collect information

Directly from you, when you create an account, enter dealership details, connect a website or marketplace account, upload vehicle data, or contact support.

Automatically through the Services, when the browser extension reads inventory pages of websites you have connected, when you connect a marketplace account, and when our servers generate logs and diagnostics while operating the Services.

The browser extension uses its permissions solely to provide TurboSell functionality on the websites and accounts you choose to connect: importing your vehicle inventory, preparing listing content, and assisting with posting. The extension does not track your general browsing.

How we use and handle information

We use information to operate the Services: to authenticate you, import and normalize your vehicle inventory, generate listing content, publish and manage listings on Facebook at your direction, show inventory and posting status in the web app and extension, provide support, process billing, secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability and features.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information, which can no longer be associated with you, to understand product usage and measure performance.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Where and how we store information

Account, vehicle, and listing data is stored in our cloud database and file storage hosted on Supabase (running on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States). Our application servers run on Vercel and Google Cloud. If you are located outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Data is encrypted at rest by our hosting providers, and particularly sensitive data — including marketplace connection data — is additionally encrypted at the application level before being written to the database.

Some data is also stored locally on your own device by the browser extension (using Chrome's extension storage), including your sign-in token, your settings, and a cached copy of your inventory. This local data is removed when you uninstall the extension or sign out.

Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate and support the Services, and is protected by row-level access controls so each customer's data is isolated to their account.

Sharing and disclosure

We share information only with service providers (processors) that help us operate TurboSell, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their services: cloud hosting and database providers (Supabase, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Vercel), payment processors, email delivery providers, and vehicle data providers used to import inventory you request. These providers are bound by their own contractual and legal obligations to protect your data.

When you instruct TurboSell to publish a listing, the vehicle content you chose to publish (photos, price, description, location) is transmitted to the destination marketplace and becomes subject to that marketplace's own terms and privacy policy. This happens only at your direction.

We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of TurboSell, our users, or others, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).

We do not sell user data. We do not share user data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

Chrome Web Store user data commitments

For data collected through the TurboSell browser extension, we certify that: (1) we only use the data to provide or improve the extension's single purpose of importing vehicle inventory and posting vehicle listings; (2) we do not sell user data to third parties; (3) we do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to that single purpose; and (4) we do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Our use of information received from browser permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, vehicle data, and marketplace connection data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal, tax, billing, or security obligations.

Server logs and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting and are then deleted or anonymized.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, application-level encryption of connection credentials, role-based and row-level access controls, and rate limiting. No online service can guarantee absolute security; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information at any time by contacting support@turbosell.co. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (including the CCPA and GDPR where they apply). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

You can disconnect a connected marketplace account at any time, which deletes the stored connection data; you can remove connected websites; you can uninstall the browser extension, which removes all locally stored extension data; and you can cancel and delete your account to stop all further collection.

Children

TurboSell is a business tool intended for use by vehicle dealers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide additional notice (such as by email or an in-product notice) before it takes effect.
